English Language Learners

It is important to keep consistency for your student during these challenging times. We recommend creating a daily routine for your student. The schedule can be flexible to meet the needs of your family. The resources below may be helpful to incorporate into a daily routine. We will continue to add resources, so please check back. If your student's teachers have provided resources, you will continue to have access to those as well.
 
SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES
  • Independent Reading (in English and/or your home language): 30 minutes per day
  • Independent Reading (in English and/or your home language): 40 minutes per day.
  • If your student is enrolled in an EL course, they have access to the leveled libraries in iLit. They will use the password provided by their teacher.  We recommend 40 minutes per day.

Children's Library Children's Library provides free children's books in a wide range of languages.
