Grades 4-5

It is important to keep consistency for your student during these challenging times. We recommend creating a daily routine for your student. The schedule can be flexible to meet the needs of your family. The resources below may be helpful to incorporate into a daily routine. We will continue to add resources, so please check back. If your student's teachers have provided resources, you will continue to have access to those as well.
 
Reading (Three times per week)
  • Independent reading (read aloud, if needed): 30 minutes per day
  • Other reading activities (ABCya, Capstone, PebbleGo, Epic, etc): 60 minutes per day
  • Additional (optional) reading suggestions below under "ELA" and "Social Studies & Science."
 
Social Studies and Science (Optional)
  • Each of the activities here includes a hands-on activity for your student or for the whole family as well as a reading suggestion that can be used to meet the above reading requirements.
  • Try one or two a week or find additional ideas in the Social Studies / Science section below.

Khan Academy Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. Progress can be saved.
