January 2019 Shiloh Hills Update

The new roof is nearly complete, the East wing is sealed and ready for dry wall, all interior concrete has been poured, HVAC installation is about to begin and 75% of the new windows have been installed. The project is on schedule with a projected move in date of late July/early August.

Midway Elementary Dedication Ceremony

On September 27, 2018, Midway staff, students, community members, architects, construction workers and board members gathered for the official Midway Dedication Ceremony. The event was hosted by Midway Principal Josh Westermann and included remarks thanking Mead patrons for supporting the modernization project from School Board President Denny Denholm, Superintendent Tom Rockefeller and Facilities & Planning Executive Director Ned Wendle. Entertainment was provided by the Mt. Spokane Jazz Choir.

Play Structure Safety Mats

Pictured are the new play structure safety mats at Midway Elementary. The February 2018 bond approved by voters includes replacing current pea gravel at all of our elementary schools with these safety mats. Work on this replacement project will begin next summer.

Market Street Projects Preliminary Design Open House

The Market Street Projects Preliminary Design Open House is Thursday, September 20, 5-7 pm @ Northwood Middle School (12908 N. Pittsburg). Traffic Meeting in the Library @ 6:30 pm.

The Market Street Projects include (1) sports/performing arts complex (2) new transportation facility (3) new maintenance facility (4) new elementary school.

Midway Renovation - Final Push (August 17, 2018)

On any given day you will find 25-50 laborers at the Midway construction site busy working to finish up the renovation project in time for the first day of school. Check out pictures of playground equipment, sod, fence and cabinet installation.

Final Stretch Midway Modernization Project - July 27, 2018

The Midway Modernization Project is nearing completion . . . only five weeks to go! Pictures include installation of drainage structures under the playground, skyfold door in the gym and new windows in the WEST wing, along with sub-grade work on the playground.
